THE SAME AND YET DIFFERENT
GEERT JOOSTENS AND JORIS DE KOSTER (BE).
17-27 November 2016
show reality as you haven’t experienced it (yet)
The photographs and pencil drawings of Geert Joostens and Joris De Koster evoke a graphically hushed universe. The oeuvre of both mainly consists of black-and-white tones and a play between lightness and darkness. Absurd and geometric, completely focused on texture, yet nearly always with a soft line. Both Geert and Joris create works in which the spectator can loose oneself. One in a hyperrealism which tries to grasp the complexity of the world, the other through a micro focus on the precarious details of an absurd protagonist. As a consequence their joint exposition promises to leave a remarkable impression, also by combination of different media. Come visit and loose yourself.
